The session will include a deeply nourishing Yin Yoga practice followed by a Kundalini Yoga practice, and yoga Nidra. New Moons bring with them the energies of new beginnings.They are cosmic resets where we can intend for the future and align with our highest potential. In this session participants will be guided into practices to support opening and balancing both the physical body and energetic body. Emphasis will be placed on the health of the spine and awakening the chakras. Special emphasis will be placed on connecting to the higher self and student will be given a special mantra said to open dormant psychic abilities. Yin Yoga is “ Slow Medicine” ; a gentle slow paced yoga that consists of a series of long held – passive floor poses. These holds target the connective tissues in the body (ligaments, bones, and joints) . Yin yoga draws on the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine and is said to directly stimulate the various meridians and flow of chi. Kundalini Yoga focuses on the energetic part of the body, with powerful breathing exercises as well as movement mantra and meditation. Kundalini yoga has a direct impact on the endocrine, nervous and digestive systems. Yin Yoga also known as “ Yogic Sleep” enables the participant to experience not only their energetic body in a profound way but also deep relaxation with the opportunity to tap their subconscious mind.
